Being Transformed Into His Image

I'm starting off my blogging adventure by saying this: Without God I wouldn't be here today. I have lived my life knowing God, knowing his presence, knowing his voice, but lately, the past few years, I've let things slip. I've taken him for granted.
I have stopped reading his word as often, I've gained weight, I've let life's troubles get me down and discouraged. I've recently become a part of a wonderful new church called 1012 Church and I have returned to my calling of being a part of a team to lead others into his throne room through worship. As I have started this journey, I have realized just how much I've let my life and relationship with God slip.

He is calling me to a higher standard. I have to be committed completely to him. Every area of my life must be submitted 100% to him so that he can mold me, shape me into the woman that he has created me to be...to be transformed into HIS image! I am committing myself today to begin this incredible journey that my God has called me to begin. In order to touch others, I must seek his face, do his will and be willing to be stretched.

Here are some scriptures that touched me today:

Deuteronomy 11:8Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,
Romans 12:2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
2 Corinthians 3:18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.Philippians 3:21who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

If you would like to join me on this journey and post your daily thoughts or scriptures that help you and us on this journey...I would love it!!
