God's Will

Psalm 26:8
I love the house where you live, O LORD, the place where your glory dwells.

Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 84:2
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Today, my heart is full. My desire is to worship God with everything within me...to be in His PERFECT will. To spread his love and to give hope to the hopeless. It's not just today, but everyday my heart bursts with desire to do more for God. God gives everyone a gift and path to follow in this world. We just have to find out what it is that we are supposed to do for him, for his glory. Living your life and touching others daily...spreading his love. It could be as small and simple as that or it could be something huge like having a great big ministry. But we each have a purpose and none are better than the other.

Seek him, ask him what his will is. What are your strengths? What has he blessed you with? Everyone has a gift. Something that they are good at, something that, with cultivation and preparation, can be used for his glory and for his kingdom.

I recently learned from an incredible friend of mine about God's permissive will and his perfect will. I have realized that I have lived my life in his permissive will, but not doing exactly what he has for me...his perfect will. I am now in prayer about doing exactly what it is that he wants me to do with the gift he has given me.

Happy New Year

I hope that everyone had a beautiful Christmas remembering the real reason for the season! God gave us the greatest gift by bringing Jesus into this world to live as an example. To show us what love is all about and to point us toward God and how to live for his glory. I am just so thankful, not just at Christmas, but throughout the year for the birth, death and resurrection of my savior. Without him, I would be so very lost in the world. I give God the glory and the praise for loving each of us so much that he prepared a way to rid us of our sins so that we could live with him in eternity...everlasting.

I pray that whoever is reading this today may be blessed this coming new year! A year of new beginnings! A year of possibilities! A year filled with awesome wonder at the things that happen because of letting go of the things that we do not have control over, but giving it to God allowing him to take over and restore, repair, open doors, bless!

May God's blessings be overflowing for you in 2009! May his light shine down on you, may his hand be upon you. May he protect you, prosper you and show himself to you!
May you be taken to the highest levels. May your heart be full and your life be giving. May you not be able to contain the blessings that God will bestow upon you this new year.

Be Still

You know, there is so much that I want do in my life. There is so much that I want to do for God and for his kingdom. I want to use the gifts that he has given me. Sometimes, I think I try and run ahead of God because there is so much that I want to do, but perhaps it's not the right timing. Today He has told me this: "Be Still...and know that I am God" BE STILL...wow! Sometimes, we are so busy "DOING" that we forget to be still and just BE. Be still and see his wonderous creation. Be still and feel his presence. Be still and be thankful for his blessings.

So today take time out to be still in His presence and you might be surprised!
